| The animation isn't bad at all, it has a few decent cuts, so it's already above-average production. And above all this type of story doesn't need top-tier animation or anything close to it. |

| This doesn't feel like the type of story to require extensive frame by frame movement, does it? Good direction and music is all this story really needs imo. They're getting that down perfectly. |

| wtf? the animation is very nice, this is so sad to hear. People get brainwashed because of mappa animation, which isnt normal, because people working overtime to make a cinema animations every week and dont even get paid better that for example the animators working on chi. There was financially fair making great animations for movies, but not for weekly animes |
| I hope they don't at all. That would be a completely and utterly unnecessary endeavor and waste of resources in terms of time, energy, manpower/talent, and money that could be much better directed and utilized elsewhere. |
| There are many, many anime I would consider remakes for. This is not even close to one of them lol. Not everything needs elite animation, especially a series that's not as action-heavy and dependent as this. Drawings look nice, backgrounds are solid and the animation isn't elite but is more than servicable and not distracting to me. It looks good lol. This is way too much. |

| It's already great as it stands, but I do understand the sentiment. Adding high aesthetic quality would make this Anime an easy overall 'GOAT' contender. But instead of a remake, I'd prefer a remaster special of each arc of the story, i.e. Rafal's chapter, Oczy and Badeni's, and Jolenta's/Nowak's. Maybe for Blu-ray releases or the likes? I think that would be more likely than a remake since it's easier to do compared to creating a new entire thing. It also doesn't risk ruining an already solid story, all just so it could look good. But again, I get it. If this had high quality visuals during night sky scenes and Nowak's gory torture scenes to compliment the great story, every episode of this would've made me wet. xD |

| It's interesting how every single commenter here either thinks the animation is good, or it's middling but not bad enough to warrant a remake. I'll add to the chorus: the animation looks fine. I can't think of a scene that had animation so poor that it took me out of the scene. I'll go even further: I prefer the animation to be this way. It helps me focus on the dialogue and the monologue. |
