After I drooled I went out and bought ingredients and the paste was a game changer love how my kow poon taste so much better now! Thanks to your video!
Ever since I saw you add that paste, I do it too and it makes such a difference! It's perfected my kapoon recipe. Gives it so much more flavor. I also add a couple tbsp of tom yum paste for a little pop.
Looks good one thing i learn for the noodle is you can just boil hot water turn off and let noodle soak in there cover it and just stir check on it after few mins or so then it soften up and you dont need to keep the heat on and stand there to stir it lol
Thanks for sharing. I will be making this today! This version is similar to how my friend taught me, except the paste you made in the food processor. We will see how this version tastes! 😍
Just made this today!! It was perfect!!! But I left the kachai out, I also used dried galanga in replace of the real one...lol...but it was a big hit today! Thank you sister Cindy for sharing the recipe..i appreciate it! Love..love...love...!😊😍😘💕💕💕🖒🖒🖒
I'm surprised this dish isn't as well known as pho and ramen. My mom's made this throughout my whole life and I love it tons more than pho actually. Ofc all three are great. Pho is your beef broth, Ramen is the pork broth, and Khaub Poob is your chicken broth. The big ol three noodle dishes.
Man this recipe came out great thank u so much .. I wish I have a big family to share this but I made a big pot for myself.. Omg . I eat it for like 5 days no lies .. But anyway they r really good. Thank u
This looks like an amazing recipe...I'm familiar with the ground pork and pork skin version of khao poon as that's what my mom sold in Laos, but your version looks pretty neat. Will definitely do it, but toss in a ton of garlic chili oil to give it that nice vibrant color. :) I wasn't familiar with kachai but someone asked below and you said it's in between ginger and galangal, which is helpful. Thanks for sharing!
can you show us some recipes for older folks? my mother is getting older and is picky with that she eats now a days. i think she'll enjoy much blander recipes but i have no idea what to cook! thank you in advance!
That food looks SO delicious, but it looks like a lot of work. I'd have to travel all over the world just to find those things so I can add it to the soup.
I love your recipes! This video is one of my favorites.

Yes! The paste (for me) adds more flavor and depth to the broth. I do love it myself :) Glad it went well for you!

After watching many of your videos, can I say it's kind of similar to Vietnamese food? ( I am Vietnamese). Thank you for sharing this video.
What camera and lens do you use?
EOS Rebel SL1 EF-S 18-55mm f. I also like using macro lens.

The moment I thought I heard the greeting and saw the chicken... I knew you were Hmong! Lol!
Do you chop all the vege and herbs with food processor? Just thinking if I should invest in one
No I do them by hand. Food processor is a great investment for baking and or chopping vegetables though. It's up to you. :)
You make Thai soup so easy to make. Thank you so much!!
can you show us some recipes for older folks? my mother is getting older and is picky with that she eats now a days. i think she'll enjoy much blander recipes but i have no idea what to cook! thank you in advance!

How cold was it when you shoot?
I've been making your recipe for a couple months now and its still the best kapoon I've tasted. Thank you for your special teaching. :)
is it possible if you can take photos of what paste you use and put it here. i will like to learn how to make kapoon your way thank u
10k wife right here
What flavor does the kachai root give the kapoon? And thanks for sharing your family recipes :)
It's kind of hard to explain. To me, it works just like ginger and galangal. Flavor is in between those two.
Love to eat it
I don't know why, but I've never seen coconut cream in a box. Is that in the normal coconut aisles? Or is it refrigerated?
normal coconut aisles
@@CHerCreations thank you! I'll take a closer look for it.
Omg I'm droooolinggggg
That food looks SO delicious, but it looks like a lot of work. I'd have to travel all over the world just to find those things so I can add it to the soup.
Is there an alternative instead of using coconut cream?
Coconut milk is usually my preferred substitute because it comes in a can and it's more versatile that way
ข้าวปุ้น😄
What would you scale the spice level? Will kids be able to eat it?
For me, it's pretty mild. Go lower on the red curry paste for less spice.
Sap bor??
I constantly stir my noodles but it always breaks.
I'm so hungry
Lulug QHAUB’POOB ma sau le nuav txhajle raug os nawb

Ka yes, she added it in at 10 min
We say Khuab poon or Kapoon
Qhaub poob. Its a lao word so us Hmong never say it right any way so dont worry🤣🤣
